Dune Ring

My take on a classic shape. A skinny, comfy band curves into a high top dome. A sleek, chunky ring with the comfort of a slim band.

Hand sculpted in wax with only my hands and simple tools, then cast in your choice of metal. I love that the melted forms of the wax, tool marks, and evidence of my hand are forever captured in the metal, like a wearable sculpture.

Brass is a beautiful and affordable alternative to solid gold. As opposed to gold plated jewelry, which can quickly wear, chip, and end up in a landfill, brass is an extremely durable and ancient metal worn by people all over the world for centuries. It is easy to recycle and is considered a highly sustainable metal.

Brass tarnishes and oxidizes, it’s a simple truth. Depending on your body’s PH and other environmental factors (humidity, temperature, lotions, etc) some people have no reaction to brass turning their skin green while others do. For many, their body will eventually adapt and no longer have issues with discoloration. Some choose to coat the inside of their ring with clear nail polish, while others embrace the chemistry and appearance of the oxidation.
